Bethesda Pentecostal Church
This fine building provides an excellent example of unusual random diminishing slatework. By 2004, however, serious works were required to the roof. This was due to loose and missing slate nails, defective leadwork and broken slipped slates, which caused severe internal ingress of water. Owing to its special construction the roof required specialist attention. PEC contributed half of the £30,000 refurbishment cost.

St Peter’s Church, Blackley, Manchester
St Peter’s is a Grade II* listed building built in 1844. This church is topped with a square tower with four clock faces. The clock mechanism dates from around 1890 and was in need of repairs.
PEC provided a £5,000 grant towards the repairs and restoration of the clock faces. These were professionally cleaned and now compliment the appearance of the building. The clock mechanism has been repaired to a good working order, helping to provide a focus to an inner city community.
