WHAT DO WE DO?
SWEET is an independent, not-for-profit company that provides financial and administrative services to community groups, local authorities, waste management companies and Environmental Bodies and Associations. SWEET has been registered as an Environmental Body (EB) with ENTRUST, the regulator of the Landfill Communities Fund, for more than ten years. SWEET aims to match projects applicants that are seeking grant funding with local landfill operators in order to deliver clear environmental benefits to community projects within ten miles of a landfill site.

SWEET provides:    

  • Independent advice on project design and funding streams
  • Liaison with the regulatory body, ENTRUST & registration of projects
  • Administration of grant funding and accounting services
  • Administration and company secretarial services
SWEET AND SUBSIDIARY ORGANISATIONS 
Secretarial and administrative services for separate companies. 
Pilsworth Environmental Company and
South Gloucestershire Environmental Body are both separately-registered companies and Environmental Bodies, set up in conjunction with and partly governed by representatives of the respective local authorities. SWEET’s role is that of company secretary, in accordance with ENTRUST guidelines regarding provision of services to one EB by another. 

Secretarial and administrative services for steering committees. 
Kings Cliffe Environmental Association,  
Thornhaugh Environmental Association and
Crossways Area Environmental Association are all steering committees made up of representatives from the local area. Project applications are considered by the boards but all administration, registration and grant-payment handling is carried out by SWEET.
