Thornhaugh Environmental Association (TEA) was established to allocate grants from landfill tax credits arising from the Augean landfill site at Thornhaugh, near Peterborough.

Representatives from the village of Thornhaugh make up the voluntary steering committee of T.E.A. The committee meets quarterly.

TEA works with local authorities and community organisations to deliver environmental and community benefits through giving grants to a wide range of projects.

Projects within a ten-mile radius of Thornhaugh landfill site may apply for grants that meet the requirements for eligibility

TEA’s relationship with SWEET-UK

SWEET-UK gives guidance to TEA on project compliance, registers projects with the regulatory body, monitors project progress and provides financial and administrative services.
